On arriving to your hotel I went to check in. The lady I had was very gruff. I told her that I was told breakfast was included in our stay and she preceded to tell me it was not. I asked if she was sure as I was told that it was when I had called - she assured me it was not. I let that go, then she proceeded to tell me that the gym and the pool were closed, under renovation. I said I was very disappointed in this - my daughter, myself and my friend had all brought our bathing suits and it was one of the reasons we had chosen this hotel. I conveyed this to the lady and she said we could use the sister hotel down the street for free. I explained that I did not feel comfortable for 3 young ladies to walk alone down the streets of Toronto at night to go to the other hotel. She basically said 'oh well, it is what it is'. I was livid, so I said that then for the inconvenience she should include breakfast and she said no. I have stayed at the Renaissance before and I have had breakfast there before, but I can assure you I will not choose to stay there next time we visit Toronto which I must say is frequently.

Liked: Excellent location. Just beside the CN tower and Ripleys aquarium. It has a Starbucks on the lobby and the restaurant is very good. The room was very spacious.
Disliked: The bed. The bed was very small for a couple. It was not comfortable to sleep.

Liked: Well maintained hotel, very clean, classic and elegant design, very spacious room, 4 minutes walk from union station that takes you to the city or directly to Pearson airport. Great staff.
Disliked: Nothing comes to mind except that the water pressure at the shower was to low for some reason.

Good location, modern and clean

Liked: Clean, well located. New decor in rooms. Bed is VERY comfortable. Had room service and food was good albeit expensive.
Disliked: The rooms are all vinyl flooring which must be easier for the hotel to clean but it felt a bit cold and sterile versus carpet.
