On arriving to your hotel I went to check in. The lady I had was very gruff. I told her that I was told breakfast was included in our stay and she preceded to tell me it was not. I asked if she was sure as I was told that it was when I had called - she assured me it was not. I let that go, then she proceeded to tell me that the gym and the pool were closed, under renovation. I said I was very disappointed in this - my daughter, myself and my friend had all brought our bathing suits and it was one of the reasons we had chosen this hotel. I conveyed this to the lady and she said we could use the sister hotel down the street for free. I explained that I did not feel comfortable for 3 young ladies to walk alone down the streets of Toronto at night to go to the other hotel. She basically said 'oh well, it is what it is'. I was livid, so I said that then for the inconvenience she should include breakfast and she said no. I have stayed at the Renaissance before and I have had breakfast there before, but I can assure you I will not choose to stay there next time we visit Toronto which I must say is frequently.

Liked: Good value, large room yay!! Hot tub always appreciated. Comfy lovely beds. Front desk staff super lovely, and no queue - 5 stars! And oh borrowing quality umbrellas for our rainy walking tour was wonderful!!
Disliked: As a 50 year old women traveller, which are a huge percentage of the travelling public today, I am so disappointed that there is no magnifying mirror in the bathroom. It is impossible to apply makeup without one, and you really can’t travel easily with a magnifying mirror.Also with 3 people in the room, as we booked, why so few nespresso capsules? 4? I think 2 each would be ideal pls.Also shockingly … no full length mirror. There is masses of wall space to hang one, so not sure how this isn’t standard. Simple relatively low cost fixes to make a real difference and turn this into a 5 star review.

Liked: It was very close to where we needed to be. The staff from the front desk to the parking attendant were amazing. The hotel alone is close to all that’s good about Toronto.
Disliked: The cost was high. I understand that Taylor Swift was to be at that facilities in the next couple days. I find that the price was too high.

Security deposit not refunded!

Liked: The room and accommodation was ok
Disliked: When I got there,the hotel took 100 CAD for security deposit from me and said it would be back to my account in 5 days. It's more than 2 weeks but I have not seen it. I have messaged the hotel through booking.com but no engagement. I am not happy about this.
