Would never go back or...
Liked: Ok
Disliked: Hotel taken over by 12 guests wedding who commandeered the only 2 available guest rooms leaving us trapped in our bedroom.

Passable
Liked: Can not comment, we were moved to their sister hotel 48 hours before our arrival date. The comment we leave are a reflection on Duisdale House Hotel.
Disliked: The room we were initially shown had the windows all open. We were told this was an oversight from the cleaners. Upon closing the windows, there was a strange odour. The heating was not working (it was minus 4 degrees and snowing). We asked to be moved. They offered us to pay extra to move to a lodge in the grounds, or have a different room. We took the other room. It was clean, and ok. The lady on reception, although she tried to help us, was clearly stressed, and had a lot of guests to deal with. We were offered a 30 min exclusive use of the hot tub as an apology for changing our hotel. The hot tub is situated in the garden in direct view of the restaurant, and with the bad weather, there was not much chance we were going to take them up on the offer. We passed on dinner, but breakfast was poor. Limited choice, fruit salad had definitely seen better days and was not fresh.

Very Clean inn and near...
Liked: Great service and the Inn was very clean. Breakfast was exceptional. Good location if you are departing by ferry next day. Sister hotel restaurant very good. Shuttle service was a plus.
Disliked: While I’m sure other rooms were better strongly recommended you Not stay in Room #1. It’s a top of stairs and above front entrance door and reception. Also the bed is too low and needs a new mattress.
