Friendly staff. Nice clean room....

Liked: The staff were absolutely lovely—very accommodating, and the place was clean. Given the circumstances, they’re doing their best, and to be fair, they’re doing okay.We had to rebook earlier than planned due to a change in our circumstances, and instead of charging us more, they actually gave us a discount. Fair play to them for that.On arrival, we were greeted by a friendly gentleman who apologised that he couldn’t accommodate a lower-floor room due to other bookings. Being placed on the fifth floor was difficult given our disabilities, but he was upfront about it from the start and didn’t pressure us to stay. He handled it well.For £90 a night in London for three people, the room was exactly as expected—small. But it was clean, and the bedding was fresh. There was no mattress encasement, but for the price, I can’t really complain.As a smoker, I went down five flights of stairs for a cigarette and had a nice chat with some locals and a temporary resident. However, his experience of the place was quite different. He explained he was homeless and was considering going back to the streets rather than staying there any longer.Four hours later, I understood why—another temporary resident, housed by the government, tried to enter our room. Thankfully, my wife scared him half to death, and he ran off, but it was still an unsettling experience.The next morning, breakfast was brought to our room—Tesco specials with no cutlery. A nice gesture, even if the execution wasn’t perfect. The orange juice was lovely, though.We left quietly, as we’re not the complaining type. The proprietor likely would have refunded us had we mentioned the incident, but it’s clear they’re already struggling, especially in this area.All in all, it’s not the worst place I’ve stayed. The staff were kind, the room was clean, and they did their best to keep us away from the more problematic guests.
Disliked: Noisy area, and the creepy person trying to get in our room.

Disliked: No elevator and stairs are too narrow, it was very hard to go to the 4th floor we had to leave our luggages in my cousin’s room in the first floor which was like a storage area made into a room. Very uncomforatble and inconvenient.

Perfect location for a couple...

Liked: Easy check in and out. Room was small but had all the essentials & was very clean. Location was fantastic with paddington station at the end of the road and surrounded by lots of food, drink and shopping places. Hyde park/Kensington park within a 15 minute walk. Continental breakfast provided to your room which had lots of choice and at a time of your choosing. Very happy with our stay
Disliked: Walls were quite thin and we could hear the room next doors T.V which they had in at 11pm at night.

Liked: Very central, easy travelling, good shops and restaurants nearby also. Friendly staff.
Disliked: We were on third floor no lift. Room a bit tiny for 2 adults and 2 children but worked for 2 days.

I've been here for two...

Disliked: Stayed with friends for 2 days, the room a musty smell, bedsheets and quilts also stink. Body bitten by bed bugs are bags, everyone has, in the middle of the night to go to the toilet there are large cockroaches in the toilet, may be the subway station's sake, the night has been very noisy, the front desk theory also said that our luggage may carry bed bugs, our boxes are new! Live really bad, very angry, very disgusting, all covered, all scratched, will never live again too disgusting!!
