Warm friendly homely pub/inn

Liked: Location was brilliant. Staff were friendly. Rooms were comfortable.
Disliked: Some areas of the room needed some attention. Bare plaster in bathroom ceiling from an obvious repair but didn’t affect our stay.

Liked: I always stay at the Toll House In when visiting Lancaster for work. It's on the right side of town for catching a bus to the university, but only a 5 min walk from the station and centre of town. Despite being a pub, the rooms are quiet - no disturbance from the floor below or from the street. I like the fact that my room had both bath and shower, and the bed was very comfy. The breakfast -- full cooked with lots of options -- is always excellent.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike.
