Loved the Tolarno Hotel. Beautiful...

Liked: Beautiful Victorian property with a MCM facade. Quirky decor, lots of genuine art by local artists, nice and quiet in a fabulous location.
Disliked: Lacking attention to detail in cleanliness. Long strands of hair on sheets, mould and dried milk in fridge, build up on dirt in corners of bathroom floor. I suspect this may have something to do with new owners. Conflicting information from staff about parking too.

Beautiful art hotel in St...

Liked: The artistic flair is gorgeous. The room was a good size, comfy bed, large bathroom.
Disliked: The rooms are serviced 4th daily which is fine except they forgot. I left it a couple more days but as soon as I mentioned it they were apologetic and it was done.

Bad

Liked: Very friendly staff, super helpful and kind. Great location within walking distance of a supermarket, great restaurants, parks and beaches.
Disliked: Overwhelming mouldy/musty, second hand smoke smell. I regretted booking this hotel as soon as we got to the stairwell that took us up to our room, it smelled bad. Once in our room I began to panic as the smell was awful. If we had more money and time we would have tried to move hotels. You could see the damp on the walls and skirting boards where they had cracked and swelled. There was black mould on the window sills. In the bathroom you could see previous guests beard hair when they had shaved and the small shampoo/conditioner bottles had already been used. We had to leave the windows open 24/7 so we could breathe fresh air. The hotel needs a serious renovation, it was dirty, smelly and run down. I am unsure how this hotel passes any kind of cleanliness inspection. Would not recommend staying here.
