Great accommodation, very disappointing restaurant...
Liked: The accommodation was very good. Quiet and relaxed place which was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. I'd say it was good value for money and if you are just there to stay for the night, you won't be disappointed.
Disliked: The restaurant. I booked ahead of time and asked if we could have a nice table by the window or somewhere a bit more relaxed. The lady serving said to me we can't reserve a particular table but we can ask for one that's free when we arrive. When we arrived at the time of our booking ,they brought us to a table that at first seemed ok, then we soon realised we where position on the other side of a service desk over a short parting wall. What a ridiculous place to put a table! It was the most awkward, un-private seating location as we were at eye-level with the frantic staff members who were coming up to that service table slamming down spray bottles, empty glasses and payment machines. The blonde european lady who took our booking repeatedly placed down the tablet they use on the ledge right beside our table and another staff member pretty much leaned over me to place empty glasses on the serving desk whilst I was eating my food. I think staff are just lacking a little in basic manners common sense because they could see it was obviously a disturbance. I spoke to a young lad and mentioned politely we were unhappy with our seat and if we could move to the empty one by the window, he said no we are fully booked. I saw plenty of tables of two become free and no staff member thought to help. Our server apologised for the inconvenience but also never thought to help us rearrange our seat. Our server was nice as was the guy checking us in but I found the rest of the staff to be standoff-ish and unhelpful, almost like it was annoying I was even speaking to them because they are busy. A little bit of customer service would have gone a long way and that was mine and my freinds last meal together before she left the country. I thought Toby Carvery was meant to be a place where people can have a relaxing British roast but I found the experience to be a complete disappointment and it was the main reason why I chose to stay here.

Reject room 203
Liked: Room 203 bathroom: The toilet seat fittings were loose. The shower door was hanging of its lower rail. The shower could not be adjusted - could not use the shower as it was too hot. Grouting missing from floor tiles. Light switch for the mirror broken leaving the lights on. Sink pop up play did not seal. Water in the sink slow to drain. Crack in the sink basin. Grouting at the edge of shower tray cracking.

Exceptional
Liked: The staff were lovely, helpful and accommodating. Didn't catch the receptionist's name but he was lovely and had a good sense of humour.

Comfortable, convenient place to stay...
Liked: Location was good, although under the Heathrow flight path. Which we knew. There is a bus stop outside with buses into Windsor. Plenty of choice for breakfast, although some of it could be a bit dry.The Staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Breakfast was a bit dry but plentiful.

Not happy should've had my...
Liked: We liked the room it was clean and comfortable the staff on that evening were very friendly and obliging the carvery was lovely the chef that was on serving don't think he really wanted to be there as he never smiled and had a job to talk .Now what we didn't like on entering the room it was very cold. Tried turning the heating on would not turn on the toilet seat. only had the seat not a lid and it was very wobbly reported both to the staff member she was very obliging and got it the toilet seat sorted straight away the maintenance guy very good but could not fix the seat so he still had a wobbly seat he did say about maybe we could swap rooms, but we said no we were comfortable in this one when we went for dinner said to the same member of staff it was very cold but we could not put the heating on she tried but it did not go on but it went on at 8:30 and stayed on all night. Went off at 4 o'clock so very hot in the room all night but very cold in the morning so didn't get a very good night sleep had a shower told my husband hold onto the handrail when he went in the shower he nearly fell backwards had a shower came off the wall screws with rusty. reported to the member of staff in the morning that I was very angry very annoyed he said he was shut the room off until maintenance had a look at the issues that should've been picked up by the housekeeping staff. He said he would give us free breakfast I asked for porridge my husband had a hot option with my porridge came. I asked for the compost that is advertised on the Toby Carvery breakfast menu and I have had many times before and other Toby Carvery's was told they don't do compost with the porridge never have okay I said have you got any honey? Don't think so then she bought some in for me. The porridge was just watery and just warm asked the server if she could put it in the microwave oh no, it doesn't go in the microwave or could you put it back on the stove and cook it more?
