Liked: Comfortable and convenient location.
Disliked: Parking can be difficult at peak feeding times! The smell of roast dinners is pervading…but I didn’t mind that!

Liked: Great location, two minutes from the nearest train station. Good sized room which was clean, comfortable and well maintained. Warm welcome and nice atmosphere.

Liked: the room was on the ground floor away from the restaurant, the wet room was well equipped, the access to the room after hours was straight forward and the hotel was opposite the railway station as we needed to get to a venue in Elmers End.
Disliked: The lighting arrangement was weird, as we could not find a way to only have one reading light on and the other off, the ceiling really creaked from the occupants upstairs, and there was a permanent odour of gravy.

Liked: Although we had to wait to be seen on arrival, the staff were very helpful - Isobel - and helped us sort out a taxi needed for the next day. We ate in the carvery and the food was very tasty and presentable , good to see the pork crackling made available.
Disliked: The steep staircase to get up to the rooms carrying a heavy bag, we managed it but anyone not as mobile might have struggled. I don't know if there was a lift, we didn't see one
