Exceptional stay at the Toby.

Liked: I have stayed here 4 nights this year and always enjoy myself. The staff are exceptional and very pleasant. The room was quiet, very clean and comfortable. As for the food with Carvey and Breakfast - superb. Well done team.
Disliked: All first class and of the highest standards.

Terrible and dirty

Liked: There is grocery shop nearby and a bus stop next to the hotel, which makes it convenient to get to the centre.
Disliked: The staff is extremely rude and the hotel rooms are not clean. On arrival we were given a room which had not been cleaned (toilet in the bathroom and carpet in the bedroom) and when we informed staff about it, they were very rude and didn't believe us. After checking the room, they decided to give us another one, which was a bit cleaner but still not to a high standard. The tea cups that were placed after cleaning our room on the following day were completely dirty inside and full of coffee marks. The lighting is poor which makes the room very dark at all times. The hotel only has very steep stairs, which makes it difficult to access rooms - I would definitely not recommend for people with young children or for older people.Very disappointing, especially at this price.

Disliked: The lady that ran the breakfast ,her customer service to be fair absolutely rubbish ,if she had smiled it would have cracked her face ,I work in customer service,and have done for years ,if I had treated my customers like she treated us, I wouldn't have a job ,I reported it to the manager that evening 12/04/25,he said he would report it ,but she was a friend of his so it was awkward!!!!!!!,we asked for a kettle at breakfast,finally got one at 5pm ,when we come to Beckenham we always stay with you , and have had no problems ,but if you would ask me would we stay again I would definitely say no

Liked: Clean room, right opposite the train station, great price got breakfast. Unfortunately the man who checked us in wasn't particularly friendly. Tea and coffee was provided but there was no kettle in the room!
