Located on the sunny Suffolk Heritage Coast Thorpeness Golf Club and Hotel offers modern rooms with picturesque views. It has a unique location next to the famous Thorpeness Meare and is only 5 minutes' walk from the beach. All of the spacious rooms feature a private in-room bathroom a TV and tea coffee and biscuits. Would only book again if...

Liked: The restaurant staff in both evening and breakfast were excellent
Disliked: The room first allocated to my daughter was sub standard, especially the bathroom. The room to which she moved was better but still not up to the standard of our refurbished room.The fire alarm kept going off throughout our pre dinner drinks and dinner in the restaurant.

Great location good place to...

Liked: Room was great lovely and big. The breakfast was excellent. Stayed there because a wedding was at the Country Club only a short distance away.

Liked: Comfortable beds friendly and helpful staff great fir golf. Good breakfast.
Disliked: £130 per night a bit excessive.

As a base for a...

Liked: Room was nice (once we found it) although the putting green right outside the window was a surprise when chatty golfers arrived very early the next morning. Clean room, nice bathroom, good location.
Disliked: Staff very slow - the hotel is quite sprawling and no offer was made of showing us where the room was (it wasn't easy to find..). Restaurant staff whilst pleasant were incredibly slow - breakfast was cold when it did arrive and getting their attention was impossible, we gave up in the end and just left. Staff let the hotel down, otherwise it is in a nice location and am sure facilities were nice too - not that we were shown them or told what they were.
