Exceeded our expectations
Liked: There were many in room and hotel wide items that made our stay very comfortable :- not limited to Loan of fan during hot weather, plenty of lights and mirrors, kettle and good range of TV programmesStaff were friendly and helpfulFood was great for both evening restaurant and breakfastOverall best hotel we stayed in during 2 weeks in Denmark
Disliked: There were external refurbishments going on at the hotel, with piles of thatch around the entrance that should have been cleared away on a daily basis. Builders lorries should not access hotel car park until after 8am

Superb
Liked: Great staff. Secure bike storage. Good room. Wonderful breakfast. Largest thatched building in Denmark!
Disliked: I don't like shower curtains, how they suck inwards, and stick to your legs!

Quiet but inadequate.
Liked: The location is quiet for a one night stop. Breakfast was great. Room neat and clean.
Disliked: On arrival the restaurant was fully booked. We had to drive again after a very long drive into town. The bathroom was useless as the shower was just straight onto the floor...literally a wet room so nice wading to the toilet. There is no where to sit and do your make up in the room or put anything down in the bathroom. The room was airless. While the window was open there was still no way to cool down. Hotel staff were too few so while staff where nice there was very little service at breakfast and everyone was waiting for coffee.

Small and moldy
Disliked: I booked two Triple rooms, advertised as being able to sleep three adults. In reality, they can barely accommodate one adult and one child. However, kudos to their photographer—he or she deserves an award for making the rooms look much more spacious than they are.Beyond the poor layout, the real problem with this hotel is its cleanliness. It's filthy and likely a health hazard to guests. Upon entering the rooms, unless the window has been left open, there’s a distinct smell of mildew or mold. This issue was present in both rooms, which were about 25 meters apart and on opposite sides of the corridor. I find it hard to believe that management is unaware of this problem. The mold is easy to spot, as shown in my pictures. Furthermore, the cleaning staff leaves both doors and windows open for a long time after each “cleaning,” suggesting they are fully aware of the issue. In addition to the mold, the shower situation is ridiculous. The shower curtain is about 30 cm too short, causing the entire bathroom floor to become soaked after a shower. I suspect this contributes to the mold problem, as the moisture likely spreads throughout the room unless the guest thoroughly cleans and airs out the space. In short, I absolutely do not recommend this hotel. There are far better options available.
