A wonderful stay

Liked: Really friendly staff. Location was where we wanted to near the water, fish market, lots of restaurants. close to the train station. The room was very pretty and clean. The morning breakfast was simply spectacular.
Disliked: The area is a bit grungy and there is lots of construction so it definitely feels very "city", still it's a great area for what we wanted to do.

Do not recommend

Liked: The breakfast and seating area is nice. There are many food options and the breakfast staff is wonderful. Everyone is very helpful and attentive and they really want you to enjoy your meal. The food was fresh and hot/cold.
Disliked: Our room was extremely hot. 24°C/75.2°F, for our entire 3 night stay. We alerted the front desk as soon as we arrived and we were advised that nothing could be done. The entire hotel is set at the same temp is what we were told. However, the hallways, breakfast area, reception were much cooler. The room is very small, and hot, there is no space to set up a suitcase. 1/2 a block from the front door of the hotel there were drug transactions taking place. We made sure we were in our room before dark. The hotel is in need of a makeover. There are odd stairs everywhere and no handrails. As if they have joined separate buildings at one point.

Good value stay in Oslo

Liked: Excellent breakfast and free coffee in the lobby. Friendly staff and handy for the railway station.
Disliked: The room was a bit noisy (air con possibly?), but not a problem with ear plugs.
