Liked: My first impression wasn’t that great because of how the construction in the room next door, wires hanging loose from the ceiling and the dust cover falling off. It looks horrible. It was like that for 2 days before they covered it up. My room was clean but the bins were not emptied when I checked in. The breakfast was good.

Liked: It's in the perfect location in Oslo for museum visits, restaurants and public transport. Breakfast was also good, though most of the food a bit cold.
Disliked: As a tall person i always look for 'large double beds' but this one turned out to be the bare minimum for a double bed at 150x200cm. And these weird small one person blankets I will never understand.The worst was the crazy air conditioning. Most of the functions were locked and it didn't matter which temperature we selected, as it just It fluctuated between 19 and 23 degrees and was on full blast the whole time (even taking the power off the room didn't work), so it was too hot the entire time while also giving you sore throat and nose. We slept horribly. We had a room on the top floor with slanted wall and windows (that unfortunately didn't open) and this made it feel very small for my height.

Liked: This is our second time at the Thon Cecil. The bed is comfortable, the room stylish, excellent breakfast buffet and friendly staff. And we love that they offer a soup and salad in the evening. When we arrive from traveling all night, it's very much welcomed.
Disliked: Can't think of anything.

I'll be back (with earplugs)

Disliked: The sound coming from the breakfast preparations woke me up both mornings, I'm a light sleeper but even on the 5th floor I could hear it.

Liked: The breakfast was excellent, with an extensive selection of hot and cold food. I got the impression that this is the standard in Norway. If only other hotels around the world could provide this sort of service.The bed was very comfortable.Very friendly staff.Great location.
Disliked: The room was a bit small.I really don't like having two single duvets on a double bed.Unfortunately the building next door is undergoing construction work which means that a jack hammer starts up at exactly 8am.The restaurant is only available for breakfast.

Liked: Comfortable room and bed, excellent breakfast and easy location for main square - and short walk from National Theatre train station.
