Disliked: The hotel was so aged and tired although beautiful it really was shabby, I could have accepted that at a reasonable price but it was not seriously not what one would hope for. One member of staff Sam was exceptional and I can’t thank him. More for managing my disappointment. While there a number of people complained including a family whose bed had collapsed…they mended it … without the staffs help on one occasion. The hotel were really unhelpful regarding my complaints. They literally made me feel like I was in the wrong. Again I will say. Great location, great building but the price even in peak season (as was explained to me) ones not match the description and I wish I could say better

A great little hotel

Liked: Comfortable rooms, good facilities, excellent location and friendly helpful staff.
Disliked: As it's an old building, there is no lift, so it was a struggle getting up to our room on the second floor, but as I was prepared for this, it wasn't a huge problem.Our room was not serviced for our second night. The lad on reception was very apologetic and was very quick to give us new supplies for the morning cuppa, Maybe a little bit of a freshen up of the bathroom, sealant around the shower base, and the grouting were a bit grubby.
