Unique and beautifully renovated hotel...
Liked: Beautifully renovated hotel with a luxury feel. The entire hotel had a vintage look with all the modern amenities. The lobby had a really nice bar and a comfortable area to hang out in. If you're looking for a unique hotel, different from the regular chain hotels, I would highly recommend staying at the Yorktowne.
Disliked: The parking isn't included in the stay and is expensive. The area of downtown York doesn't feel that safe. For the cost of the room per night I'd like to feel safe going to my car parked in public lots.

Disliked: They could not find my booking which I made from booking.com and they had me call booking myself to clear it up. They asked me to move away from thr front counter so they could Carry on business.

Almost a 10
Liked: Newly renovated hotel in the center of york with spacious and adequitly furnished rooms. Very clean! Bar and restaurant in main lobby area with a very nice bonus rooftop bar and lounge. Staff was welcoming and pleasant. Would definitely stay there again if we need to visit the area again. Free parking in the garage across the street on weekends.
Disliked: The lack of free parking on a weekday. We checked in on a Saturday and checked out Monday morning, so the garage charged for parking after midnight Sunday until we left Monday morning. Not the end of the world, but it would be nice if there was an arrangement with the garage for free parking to hotel guests mid week.
