Disliked: The room we stayed in the main house, would benefit from some tlc.

Liked: Fabulous hotel with a good location. Breakfast was amazing and room very comfortable

Great for a couple of...

Liked: Lovely location and decor is amazing. Will visit again the the summer to see enjoy the gardens.
Disliked: Artificial Christmas Trees. Real ones would have been a nicer touch given the style and decor of the hotel.

Would love to go back...

Liked: We loved the staff , they were excellent, loved the dinner at the restaurant very much too , loved the location and hotel premises
Disliked: It cannot be rated as a four star , the facilities in the room are not 4 star , the heating system is not at all good , no temperature control in individual rooms , bathroom was freezing couldn’t take a shower for the 3 days we stayed , couldn’t open the windows for fresh air , the dryness in the rooms gave my husband a heavy nose bleed ! The bathroom has no shower caps, no cotton face pads , no body lotion , no tooth brush holders , which all 4stat hotels have ! And didn’t carry any myself thinking they will be all there .. The room had no fridge , no safe either . It’s a beautiful hotel , but had a tough time due to these reasons , couldn’t fully enjoy …

Our first stay here and...

Liked: Breakfast was ok.
Disliked: Distance from car park to annexe room too long and not really suitable for anyone with problems walking. Also the lighting was inadequate. Our room was very cold on arrival, I expected the radiator to be on especially as the hotel had asked our for our arrival time on several occasions. The public areas of the main building were very cold,no warming welcome really. Extremely disappointed that the hotel could not accommodate us for dinner on our arrival night, never had this happen before as a resident.

Lovely hotel and location, worth...

Liked: Stunning building and location. Our room was in the main building over looking the garden. The room was a good size and the massive bed very comfortable. The evening meal and breakfast was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful
Disliked: The restaurant in the evening was not very warmThe staff were very good and working very hard but clearly there was not enough of them

Liked: Room was amazing 202 but very cold had to ring Reception to ask for heating to be put on this should be done before guests arrive
Disliked: Just it was cold and the Receptionist could of been friendlier when I asked for directions to car park she was rather abrupt
