I will stay again.

Liked: My hostess was most helpful and welcoming. I arrived over 2 hours late due to traffic. She persuaded a local restaurant a single person in although they were fully booked. It was good value and quality too. She is very knowledgeable about the area. Strongly recommended.
Disliked: the weather

Very comfortable, great value, I’ll...

Liked: Wonderful friendly hostess, very welcoming. Quaint cottage, nice dining room. Very comfortable bed, good shower. Especially liked the blackout blind and heavy curtains. I slept very well indeed. Lovely home cooked breakfast, great choice and a humungous pot of tea! Also catered for my gluten intolerance.
Disliked: Personally, I would’ve liked tea making facilities in the room, not the communal area.

⚠️ Warning this is not...

Liked: It was clean nothing else. it was very tiny not at all what I expected or described.
Disliked: She was very racist and looked at me as if she had seen a ghost and didn't reply at all to me when I greeted her upon arrival. She complained about everything. You have to say what time you will be back as she had children and she has to get up to open the door to admit you in because she doesn't give you the guests but any keys. Also she needs to lock up back after you have come in and need to be back by 10:30 as she has diabetes and kids to put to bed and on and on it goes . In the morning I made coffee She complained that I came in late the night before and she had to wait up to lock the door so she couldn't make breakfast as was required. So I had to no more than a cup of coffee each because she has to watch her water as it may go down or finish and she won't hate any left for her . I have never heard this absurdity! Ludicrous!!!! This is not a place fit for accommodation. I would never go back there if the host is that trivial to watch and complain about having coffee when I had nothing else for breakfast. Breakfast was paid for in advance included in the deal and we didn't have any or taken any thing from the continental option provided. I wouldn't recommend that experience for anyone else. I was devastated and most disappointed as I thought I was going to have and enjoy an experience that was unforgettable. Well yes it unforgettable, but for the wrong reasons. Please save yourself.

Perfect for a short stay..

Liked: What a delightful discovery! I was looking for somewhere to stay for a couple of nights and The Willows had availability so I booked it. Carol is charming and gave us such a lovely welcome even though she was really busy looking after customers who were enjoying Afternoon Teas. Our room was immaculately clean and very well appointed. Every little detail had been considered. We enjoyed two delicious breakfasts, freshly cooked to order and there was a very good selection of cereals available too. Outside, there was an area for guests to sit as well. Shillingstone is a pretty village and The Old Ox pub is a short walk away. We enjoyed a light snack there one night and the ambience was very friendly.
Disliked: We can't think of anything...

Stunning property

Liked: The b&b is set up as a traditional tea room and everything has been well thought out to give a comfortable homely look. Carol the owner is very amenable and helpful. The gardens surrounding the cottage are exceptional. The breakfast was of the top standard with locally sourced products, will be returning there the next time we go to Dorset and hopefully we will treat ourselves to one of the teas
Disliked: Nothing not to like. Everything was clean and tidy, perhaps there could be more space for bathroom necessities for make up etc., but really just being over critical
