We were very disappointed with our stay. One, we did not know where to park. We paid valet for 2 days because we thought we had no other choice. No one told us there was a parking garage. Two, the hot water did not work very well. I was trying to give my daughter a bath and could not get the water warm running to take a bath. I had to turn the shower on and wait 10-15 minutes to put water in the tub that's 2 inches just for her to take a bath. The tub was chipping and it was in the bath water. Three, under the bed there was food and other nasty things left from people who previously stayed in that room, and the floor was dirty. Lastly, there was no complimentary breakfast. I could have paid a little more for a nicer hotel closer to where we were going and got free breakfast, instead of having to pay $50 for room service just so we could eat. The shuttle was a waste of my time. I had to call a taxi because I wasn't going to get downstairs an hour and a half before our event was starting just to take a shuttle 1 mile away. Nevertheless, I will never refer Crowne Plaza to anyone we know.
Liked: Friendly staff.
Disliked: Not impressed at all.

Nowhere near expectations, please avoid
Liked: The front desk staff was friendly , but clearly managers in the back rude from how it sounded when talked to about my inconveniences by the staff
Disliked: Very outdated for the price paid, lighting in the room very minimal which makes them creepy, cockroaches, dirty rooms with hairs in the bathtub, lint everywhere even the walls… I had to change rooms twice because of uncleanliness.. the pool area did not look attended to either with towels laying around even though I never saw anyone else there while I stayed at the hotel, very dirty and rustic. Neither the hotel or booking.com compensated me for the major inconvenience and being there alone not having alternative options for a stay far from home caused me to feel very uncomfortable and anxious every day and nowhere near the standard expected for this property. Always used booking.com before on my travels but this was the last time.

Wonderful and Elegant Hotel. No...
Liked: Property is very calm and serene. Very classy.
Disliked: Entrance to valet parking was not easy to find. Missed entrance a few times before getting it right.

Liked: The breakfast
Disliked: There was a power outbreak three times during our stay for 5 to 8 hours each of those days. So no wifi, hot water, electricity, no breakfast too.Plus the whole hotel needs renovations. Too old .

Save your money and go...
Liked: The location and the house restaurants are great. *Make sure you call the hotel before you buy food vouchers. They’ll let you pay for them even if they aren’t needed. This also ties into their huge lack in communication. I definitely will never stay here or suggest this place to anyone. Houston has way better hotels, where you’ll actually enjoy your full experience.
Disliked: Management struggles with communication. During my stay they had 2 power outages (the first one they notified us about in advance however, when it came to the second outage, there was zero communication or offered accommodations). The least they could have done was sent out an email or call the current guest to explain what was happening, asked if anyone needed anything, assured safety, gave an ETA… We were without power for hours. The lack of communication is extremely concerning and unacceptable.

Very good
Liked: hotel had a lovely aroma, the foyer and entrance very charming
Disliked: The bathroom was a little small, not much counter space. Found an (unopened) condom on the floor.

Dramatic service
Disliked: Somehow the hotel can't provide an invoice with reservations trough Booking.com. Really a crazy situation, but I would recommend everyone who travels for business to book another hotel.

Liked: Excellent location, polite staff, helpful and friendly. Room was beautiful and beds comfortable. Lovely place to stay.
