Hotel Description
The White Lion is a traditional hotel opposite Aldeburgh's shingle beach where wooden huts line the shore. Guests can enjoy fresh seafood free Wi-Fi and some of the rooms have far-reaching sea views. The privately owned hotel offers excellent service and menus made from fresh Suffolk produce. You can dine in the informal beach-facing bar with its real ales or the oak-paneled restaurant. With its warm atmosphere and good food The White Lion is a wonderful seaside hideaway. A variety of walking trails surround the area and Snape Maltings Concert Hall is a 10-minute drive away. Tennis at the Country Club and golf on the established James Braid course can be arranged at nearby Thorpeness. There is also space for free parking on site.

Good stay and great service.

Liked: Good location. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Nice Lou he area with sofas.
Disliked: Our room radiator was making a whining noise all night and the room and bathroom was too hot. We opened a window but the bathroom radiator couldn’t be adjusted.

Great location and breakfast

Liked: Great warmth and staff very nice , breakfast lovely and china etc felt classy. Lovely hot towel heater in bathroom.
Disliked: Step in bath and decor tired and rather dull. Such a beautiful location deserves a bit more. Plug sockets and full length mirrors lacking .

Very good

Liked: Position of the Hotel at the sea front. Dinner was good, helpful waiter, breakfast was excellent and the room was adequate for our stay. The lighting in the room could have been better but overall it was comfortable.
Disliked: The lighting in the room could have been better.
