We had a lovely and...

Liked: The White Birch Inn is housed in a 100 year old building that was converted to a quaint inn roughly 11 years ago. Sits in downtown Clayton, conveniently located within a short walk to shops & really good restaurants. Rooms are all themed. Ours was the Mountain Laurel Suite which had elevated rustic decor, a working fireplace, copper soaking tub and separate walk in shower. When we checked in there was a personalized welcome card and menus for each of us to select our multi course breakfast for the next morning. In the evening there is turn down service and a lovely list of local attractions and activities as well as the daily forecast for the area. Very nice touch. Linens & towels were great quality and robes are provided. The bed was very comfortable. There are many common areas including the reception area which houses a bar where they host a wine & cheese happy hour every evening. A delicious breakfast is served in another beautiful room. There is a patio with fire pit, and a couple of porches to enjoy.
Disliked: Can’t think of anything.

We loved the Inn but...

Liked: Everything was beautiful, clean and welcoming.The staff were excellent and friendly.The breakfast was very delicious.
Disliked: The room we stayed in was right on the main thoroughfare. It was very noisy because of the traffic.We would not stay in that particular room again.

Perfect place for a restful...

Liked: The room was very comfortable and quiet. The wine and cheese was very nice.The breakfast was exceptional and very enjoyable. Letty - our hostess/waitress was lovely.
Disliked: There wasn't anything I did not l ike.

Disliked: While the gesture was nice, I did not like the staff entering into the room while I was out, just to place candy inside of the room. It felt like a violation on privacy.

Perfect, can't wait to go...

Liked: Everything was great!! The room was amazing (espeically the bathroom). Very clean. Host was great that gave us a tour. For breakfast Lady served us and it was amazing. Definately not a typical continental breakfast!
Disliked: Nothing

Absolutely the best!

Liked: This was one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. We were made to feel like honored family members from the time we arrived until we pulled out from the parking lot! We’ll be back for sure!
