Good
Liked: The breakfast was adequate. The room was cramped and the view was the front porch.

A pleasant B&B on a...
Liked: This is an older home on a wide but quiet street. My room, dubbed Hydrangea, was spacious including a private bathroom with shower, a very comfy bed, a small desk, an armchair and minifridge. There is also access to a kitchen. Although there was no active reception when I arrived, calling the first of several phone numbers prominently displayed yielded the friendly innkeeper who "walked" me through to the room. The innkeeper cooked a tasty breakfast in the morning. Overall, this was a pleasant change from the cookie-cutter motels you find at the highway interchanges.
Disliked: A minor nit: I would have preferred an earlier breakfast, and the innkeeper offered to get it done, but I opted to make it work at the standard time. The bed was indeed comfy, and it was nice to sleep in.

Satisfactory stay
Liked: Staff was very friendly and accommodating; breakfast was great. We stayed because of the relative proximity to Ricketts Glen, one of our favorite hiking spots.
Disliked: The room was a little outdated, towels were sparse, and the first floor bathroom blinds had gaps in them. The shower head was dirty.

Saydi is awesome!
Liked: Saydi is an excellent Inn Keeper. Very welcoming and a joy to talk to. There were complimentary home baked goods and refreshments available in the lounge and the whole place felt like a home away from home. It contributed positively to an emotionally difficult journey and provided comfort and kindness in the fine details. Breakfasts varied and were delicious! So much so I have come home and made the recipe for my own family. Parking on site. Room was spacious and stacked with everything needed. Perfect small town, quiet, comfortable and close to my heart! Thank you Saydi for the hard work you put in.
Disliked: That I couldn't stay longer!

It was good for me...
Liked: Location as family members of mine own the Forge Pub & Eatery.
Disliked: It was ok as I was solo on this trip. A light sleeper like my wife would have struggled hearing every footstep and flush from above. A bit warm as well with no ability to adjust a thermostat.
