Lovely, relaxing break.

Liked: Beautiful hotel with very polite and friendly staff. Extremely comfortable room and lovely spa facilities.
Disliked: Too many 'up selling' emails in advance of my stay.

Amazing Stay

Liked: Hotel is beautiful. The staff were very accommodating and attentive - made the stay very special. Spa facilities are great - had some confusion about the closing time for the spa/swimming pool (reception mentioned it closes at 10pm but actually closes at 8pm), but this wasn’t a problem at all as we had a great time in the facilities the next morning. Exceptionally clean and the lobby area smelled amazing. Very peaceful atmosphere. The room was huge and had a perfect view of the city and the Shard. I genuinely couldn’t recommend the hotel further. A special thank you to Sonia for her attentiveness and commitment to making this stay special. My partner loved the birthday card!

Liked: Everything! Location, cleanliness and the staff were just amazing. So welcoming and hospitable. Always willing to help and go the extra mile for us.

This is the worst 5-star...

Liked: The location is nice. I’ve never been to London so I somewhat had to guess.
Disliked: This is the worst 5-star hotel I’ve ever been in. Even before having to stay, staff was hard to get to attend my needs-(See conversations via Booking dot com). Their response time is poor at best! Here are things that we were expecting:1) Whatever we booked with Booking dot com will be honored but were not2) Booked for 2 beds (for a family of 3) but WLC booked us for 1 king and then tried to upsell me for a bigger room still with a king bed. (I had to dispute this.)3) WLC offered transportation and accepted but had to badger them at least 3 times! I said after that to forget about it and found out own transportation to the hotel4) Little amenities (ie. lotion, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc.) had to be requested instead of having them already prepared in our room5) Booking dot com included continental breakfast but WLC said it was not included
