Liked: It looked like a modern hotel with lots of facilities
Disliked: I arrived at the hotel reception realising I had booked the room but for the night before ie I'd made an error during my international travel from time zone to time zone and entered the wrong date for the booking. Disappointingly, the hotel would not give me a credit for the unused booking knowing that I'd made an error in date for booking. About 90 minutes after locating and booking another hotel the Hotel Manager emailed me offering me a discount if I wanted to stay at the hotel. The fault was mine but left me disappointed in the experience.

they ruined my husband's birthday,...
Liked: Dimensions of the room, reception, position, quality of food for the breakfast.
Disliked: I must say I was really disappointed and upset by the weekend I spent with my husband at this hotel.It was his birthday, the only chance to spend some time together since we work far away at the moment.1) I had booked by phone a massage at the supposedly prestigious Spa of the hotel. I spoke with a lady who made the reservation and confirmed by phone. Well, we leaned she booked the massage for the week after, by mistake. We discovered this on the day...Luckily there were still two slots available, but you can imagine the disappointment.2) I had been comunicating with the hotel for days about delivering a small birthday cake at 9.00am on the day of my husband's birthday. All this was planned for days, I even checked with the reception till the night before. At 9.30am of the day still no sign of the cake, I had to go downstairs at the reception and ask in person, they apologized and sent it after 30 mins. So it arrived an hour late and the surprised was completely ruined. UNACCEPTABLE3) communication with the maids was frustrating as nobody spoke english and even German was not really up to standards (I speak 5 languages and I believe I can judge on this aspect).This is supposedly a luxury hotel... disappointing custumers not once but twice with mistakes or negligence about booking services is really unadmissible. I don't care if the Spa is mangaed by another company, it's still offered to Westin costumers and should be up to the 5 star service (by the way, not water or tea or juices available at the Spa) and ruining my husband's birthday surprise was really uspetting and undeserved, since the hotel is certainly not cheap. At least at the reception they were nice and apologetic, but it's not enough. Never again.
