Charming and very comfortable

Liked: The room was two floors above a beautiful pub. The manager of the Pub checked me in a great guy whom I spent a lot of time speaking to. The shower and bedroom was very comfortable and nice as shown on the photos. Some of the piece of furniture were a little dated but that was part of the charm…. Overall very satisfied…. The only part that really bothered me was lack of even a basic breakfast but not a big deal Gail’s and Starbucks are 5 minutes away.

Lovely find

Liked: Warm welcome, all staff very friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a bigger room, and it was beautiful. It was a shame that food isn't being served at this time, but it will be after refurb is completed. We would definitely stay again.

Liked: Location for my business trip.
Disliked: The hotel is under renovation, I was not informed of this from booking.com or the hotel. I was told the hotel had tried to contact me but my number was wrong. I use booking.com all the time all hotels or guest house I use have never failed to contact me.The bathroom was extremely dirty, hairs around the sink, the bedroom needed a good clean, the cushions on the bed had stains on them. The carpet was filthy, The room had no heating, I was left 2 portable heaters, one had no wheels on therefore this sat directly onto the carpet. I shared my experience with a lady in the morning, that blamed it onto the cleaners and was horrified when o told her about the heater that I unplugged and placed it by the door away from any carpet. I was also told that one of the builders was found asleep in one of the beds, a very strange thing to tell me.

Great value city stay option

Liked: This is rooms above a pub, so nothing fancy, but for an overnight stay in Central London it was perfect for my needs. Large comfortable bed, friendly helpful staff, and a very nice en suite bathroom with great shower and plenty of fluffy clean towels etc. The room had kettle with tea & coffee facilities, iron and ironing board and a nice big tv on the wall. No breakfast provided, but the local Gails was exactly what I wanted. I would happily stay again.
Disliked: The only minor downside was a complete lack of hangers in the wardrobe. It's a small detail, but such as simple thing to fix and it was a pain having nowhere to hang my suit and shirt after I'd unpacked and ironed them.

Liked: To be honest everything was perfect, the location, the stuff, the room was clean and renovated. Downstairs was beautiful bar with it special charm.I highly recommend this hotel for stay in London.

Extremely disappointing

Liked: The staff were very friendly and did their best to improve on a bad situation. I’m sure it will be nice once the renovations are finished. 5 min walk from Maida Vale tube station.
Disliked: The room, bathroom and public stairwell were filthy! There is building work going on. The staff did move us to a better, cleaner room but quite late at night. There were no TVs or internet working either. Not a great experience for my daughter’s birthday treat to London.
