Liked: This is my favorite place to stay in Davis. It is an easy walk from the Amtrak station and an easy walk to the UCD Memorial Union and transit center. All of downtown and the UCD arboretum are within walking distance. Friendly staff was on duty for checkin after the train arrived and they will keep luggage after checkout in the morning so you don't have to drag your suitcase all over town. This is the best place to stay when taking Amtrak.
Disliked: Nothing really edible for breakfast and no fresh fruit. There are several restaurants nearby and UCD Memorial Union is also good, or bring your own if you want quality food without sugar and fat. Don't count on the advertised free breakfast.
