Cute location, wouldn’t stay again

Liked: Great location and comfortable beds. Owners were friendly and the food was good, however, we didn’t get to sleep until after midnight due to the staff partying downstairs in the tavern associated with the Inn. We had go downstairs to ask when the music would stop since we had to get up early. The earliest breakfast offered was 8:30, takes the breakfast part out of ‘bed and breakfast’. For the price was expecting a little bit more hospitality.

Stay there when go to...

Liked: It is the quintessential New England/VT place to stay. It is a very charming place (the photos don't make justice to what it is), in a very convenient location to explore Woodstock, Plymouth and Bridgewater, and also for skiing in Killington (which is what I did). Heather and all the staff at the hotel and in the restaurant are super helpful, also the drinks and food are delicious. You can enjoy a wonderful time there to relax and don't need to leave the place for dinner.
Disliked: Only (minor) comment I would have is that breakfast could start a little earlier (it starts at 08:30am), although Heather was gentle enough to prepare a "to go" bag for me, as I was going to ski early. But it would be great for the whole experience there if even for guests who plan to start the day early if the breakfast could start, let's say 07:30am at least on weekends.

Our stay at The Village...

Liked: The whole Inn is lovely and quaint - like stepping back in time. Heather & Jarret and staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. On our second night there, we decided to have drinks and dinner at the Vic Tavern, which was our favorite part of the entire visit. It was all so personal, with extra thoughtful touches, the drinks were unique and yummy, and the meal was outstanding. There was a real roaring fire in the fireplace, and it made for a really relaxing time. The breakfasts (which are included) were amazing, unique choices, freshly cooked and served piping hot. Our server Ella was terrific! We will definitely return some day!

Wonderful place to call home...

Liked: We loved the Village Inn in Woodstock. Great place to experience the magical town of Woodstock especially during the Wassail Weekend. I wanted to have a Hallmark Christmas Moment and this visit definitely fit the bill! Heather and her wonderful staff treated us like family (or maybe even a bit better!! ) They made our joint birthday celebrations so special. The breakfasts were wonderful. The room was great with all its personal touches. If we needed anything all we had to do was ask. Everyone who stayed there were fun and easy to visit with over breakfast or drinks in the afternoon by the fire place. We ate dinner at Vic's Tavern the first night and it was amazing! We dined at a few other places based on Heather's recommendations and they were wonderful. I am so glad she reminded me a few weeks prior to our visit to make reservations since it was a busy weekend for the quaint town. Definitely recommend the Village Inn in Woodstock and Vic's Tavern to anyone looking for something special in Woodstock.
Disliked: Everything was wonderful.
