Overall a great stay but...

Liked: Lovely hotel in a great location. Excellent food and atmosphere and friendly staff. Large car park just a short distance away.
Disliked: We booked a superior double room as we had on our last visit in 2024. The room last time was fabulous, but the room we got this time was disappointing…..just an average style double except that it had a super king size bed and a very large mirror. The bed was comfortable but low. We’d be reluctant to pay the extra for a superior room in future as we didn’t think this room warranted the extra.

Disliked: Love dogs but very wet morning Saturday and couple returned from a walk with 2 large dogs which were soaking not really acceptable meeting on stairs when you are dressed owners of dogs should have towelled dry felt sorry for anyone cleaning their room

Pleasant stay but price not...

Liked: Comfortable room. Lovely en suite. Friendly staff. Lovely food. Pet friendly.
Disliked: Poor wifi signal in our room; couldn't connect our devices, and couldn't stream anything on the TV without buffering every couple of minutes. Housekeeping a bit slapdash eg bathmat & hand towel taken but not replaced one day; bag of rubbish left in front of the doorway another; bed not straightened / cushions replaced. We were forgotten at breakfast on our last day so ended up in a rush to check out. Expected a bit more for the price.
