Liked: Really lovely hotel and so quiet. Great nights sleep and breakfast.
Disliked: Bed was a bit squeaky and pillows not the best but pleasant enough for couple of nights

Liked: Staff were efficient and friendly. Rooms were lovely - comfortable and immaculately clean. Balcony and beautiful gardens would be a bonus in better weather.
Disliked: Food on this occasion could have been better, especially our evening meals.

Liked: Hard to fault this hotel from reception friendly can do approach to rooms lounge , lovely log fire food and outstanding value

Ok but badly tainted

Liked: On the whole, my stay was good though the second night completely ruined my whole experience at the hotel.
Disliked: I was notified a few days before my stay (too short notice to find about hotel) that there was a wedding at the hotel on the second night of my stay and that I may be disturbed. This turned out to be a massive understatement! The music was so loud it vibrated the bottle and glass on the table and the extracted fan in the bathroom! I was forced to leave the hotel to find somewhere else to eat as I couldn’t stand the noise.When I returned there was no change in volume, I ended up trying to get to sleep with my earbuds in playing an audio book-I could still hear the base! As I’m sure you can imagine I didn’t sleep until it was turned off around midnight! It felt like I was directly over the speakers-a little pre planning would have prevented this experience.

Liked: Decor in lounge and hall and Darwin room were superb. Food was excellent. Ability to charge car was easy and convenient. Paintings in dining room
Disliked: The smell of bleach in the corridors on arrival.The atmosphere in the dining room as the decor was a bit stark. The paintings, however, were superb.
