Lovely place, will be back
Liked: Nice site and buildings, parking, good bed, balcony, access to town, quiet, staff reactive in check-in issues
Disliked: Only the pillows which were too high (all of them similar) and that the water temperature in the shower was unstable

Great stay - we will...
Liked: We were a bit hesitant when booking because of some older reviews, but ended up completely blown away. The place may not stand out much from the outside, but inside it’s warm, nicely designed, and super comfortable. We stayed in early spring with just a few degrees at night, and it was cozy and perfectly warm indoors. Comfy duvets, nice bathroom, a small but very functional kitchenette, and the view from the windows was lovely. It’s peaceful too where we only heard birds singing all day. Our dog loved the nature either on the walks or looking through the window. Sure, if you step outside, you might catch road noise, but that’s just how it is anywhere around Amsterdam. For a nature-feel or meditation getaway in Amstellland this place is perfect. The staff were laid-back and welcoming, and we felt totally at home. Breakfast was standard but just right, and we really enjoyed the table tennis and board games. It was our first visit, but definitely not the last.

Nature and calm
Liked: The place was perfect as it was in nature. The pod we stayed was warm and comfortable done out to a good standard with nearly everything you could want although a couple of blankets to sit outside would be a great idea but probably they would have provided us with them if we'd asked also a tea towel. They did keep sending messages saying just ask for help with anything if you needed it. I had to get to grips with the hot tap to make tea but they did say they could provide a kettle. Also I wanted to buy eggs for breakfast but couldn't boil them , they said to use the quooker ( boiling tap) to do it buy I was abit unsure however, again I think you can ask them to bring you some kind of cooking facilities but not sure if you have to pay extra for it but the joy is you just got to ask them and they are willing to help.

Liked: We absolutely loved our stay at Basecamp Amsterdam. It completely exceeded our expectations. The Wikkelhouse House is gorgeous and was much more spacious than we had expected. Our children had bunk beds which were in their own little room. They loved it! It was quiet, cosy and incredibly comfortable and had everything you needed to be self sufficient (should you wish to be, there is also an amazing bio farm shop next door!) - Basecamp does have a bar which serves food and we had delicious pizzas one night. We also had a hot tub which was a real treat! We made use of the sauna (stunning) and the club house (bar and games room) and we also hired bikes. The staff were excellent, really friendly, helpful and very responsive. We really loved being in an urban location surrounded by open space and so much wildlife and nature. We had the most relaxing time here. We made the most of slow relaxing mornings at Basecamp and chose to visit Amsterdam Old town each afternoon which for us provided the perfect balance. To get to Amsterdam centre we used the train (a 5 min drive to Halfweg - with free parking, and then a 10 min journey to Centraal) and on one day we cycled. I would highly recommend Basecamp Amsterdam. We loved it so much! Thank you Basecamp!
Disliked: Nothing at all.

Not bad accommodation
Liked: It's quiet and the facilities are very pretty.
Disliked: The kitchen utensils were generally in poor condition, and there was a lot of grass around, so bugs often came out to the bed. And the bedding wasn't clean either.
