Liked: Comfy beds, great location especially for kids, free parking on premises.
Disliked: We thought that some (minor) things could be further improved. Regarding cleanliness, the pans in the kitchen were not clean, same goes for certain parts in the bathroom (in the shower). No housekeeping was offered, even though we stayed for 4 nights. Lastly, other travelers should probably be aware that the accommodation does not have blackout curtains/ blinds. Luckily we visited in February and the sun rose after 8 am, but in the summer, when the sun rises at 5.15, I can imagine this would have been an issue for us.

Beautiful place for a relaxed...

Liked: The entire property is really beautiful. It has a very peaceful and relaxing vibe. We booked the Wellness Barn and it was superb - the sauna turns on and off with one button, the hot tub is always on so no need to wait for it to heat up, and the fireplace is a big plus. We came with our dog and it was perfect for him, as there were a lot of open fields and walking paths close by. The staff was really friendly and we felt very welcome. :-)
Disliked: - The floor heating in the bathroom didn’t work, so it was really cold. Slippers would be a good addition in general. - The café/ bar offers limited food options at hotel prices, and the quality isn’t great (small portions and not many flavors). This was a shame because we didn’t have a kitchen in our cabin and the organic farm restaurant next door does not allow dogs inside (not the fault of Basecamp but it limited our options).

Liked: Loved the outdoor space which was perfect travelling with our dogsThe apartment was beautiful The location was tranquil after a busy day in central Amsterdam My only criticism would be it’s not highly staffed so if you expect a lot from hotel staff this isn’t the place
Disliked: Check in is in the hotel restaurant so it doesn’t feel overly professional
