Enjoyable stay, pleasant Hotel in...

Liked: We loved the location of the Hotel, the staff were excellent. The beds were really comfortable with ample parking.
Disliked: We thought the food was average throughout our stay and the Bathroom in the room, we had a suite, needed updating eg: shower in the bath made it a tight space and wash hand basin very low.

Beautiful hotel in the centre...

Liked: Fabulous rooms. We were in 1287. It was a lovely big room. The bar / lounge area is small but really nice and warm. We had dinner in the restaurant by the bar which was lovely. There is also a restaurant upstairs which I believe is more upmarket but we didn’t see it.
Disliked: No water in our double room. The room coat €200, think they should have supplied water. Service in the bar and restaurant is slow but all staff were very nice and we were not rushing so it didn’t make a difference to us

Misleading Restaurant experience

Liked: Room was class, good value for money and the breakfast food was excellent.
Disliked: Feel extremely mislead by our restaurant experience. At no point were we made aware of what kind of dinning experience the West Restaurant was offering that night. Hotel rang me 2 days before arrival & I booked dinner in the restaurant, the menu was to be emailed to me but this did not happen. We went to dinner and the 1st course was just served to table when we realised it was not our cup of tea and there was no choice on the menu. We felt it was too late to leave and continued with the dining experience. Water with the meal was charged for, we were not made aware of this and not asked when subsequent bottles of water were just brought to the table either. Ended up paying over 150 as a couple for this set tasting menu.
