An okay stay.

Liked: The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was great.
Disliked: Because of staff issues our room wasn't available until 5.30 pm ,although the manager bought us a round in recompense. A very good night's sleep was interrupted at about 7.00 a.m. The kitchen storage room was below our bedroom (110) and each time someone went in to get something from a fridge they let the door slam as they left.

Liked: We like the older historic hotels. They kindly upgraded our room as my husband has difficulty with stairs so was moved from the second floor to the first floor the staff were so lovely and helpful! The food was very good too

Delightful in every respect.

Liked: A wonderfully preserved characterful hotel. Full of history. Excellent dinner and breakfast at sensible prices. Room was outstanding with nice little thoughtful touches. En Suite was superb and obviously very new. Management had experience and charisma running a good team of young staff.
Disliked: Access to the rear car park is a little challenging if you have a big vehicle but this is to be expected in an historic town.
