Fantastic from start to finish!

Liked: From the time we got there to the time we left, we were made to feel part of the family. We decided on a last minute get away and stumbled across the Tudor house. We had to wait for the room but we were given a free drink in the bar while we waited. The breakfast, which has been so openly slated in other reviews, was super. Ok the beans could have been hotter but I’m not going to lose sleep over beans. One major highlight has to be how friendly and professional James was. He was attentive, and we had a fabulous chat with him about the history of the hotel. We stay in a lot of hotels, for both work and pleasure and this is definitely in the ‘would stay again’ bucket!!
Disliked: The car park does seem to be used by literally anyone so no guarantee that you’ll be able to get a space.

Liked: Beautiful building and history, great location for town, friendly staff, very clean, comfortable and luxurious.

Getting away

Liked: Beautifully furnished room with modern bathroom all the facilities you need. Right in middle of high street so easy to walk anywhere in the town..

Disliked: Door to en suite stuck and noisy to move at night (Room 400)

I loved the Tudor house

Liked: Unique building carefully restored welcome ambiance
Disliked: Lighting in room insufficient to read by. Pillows very hard.
