Liked: Great location, very close to the university, town centre, and local amenities.Wendy was a superstar... at the point of arrival, the foyer was occupied by a local drunkard. Wendy addressed this straight away and apologized, insuring my 7 year old daughter was safe, settled and priority.
Disliked: The opening hours of the hotel bar, although understandable due to it being quiet.It was very noisy during the early hours, doors were bangers, and the age of the building echoes, allowing you to hear every footstep in the corridor.Secondly, the ceiling in room 8 was gaping and cracked either through damp or someone going up the attic and putting their foot through it.

Liked: The reception was friendly and professional. This was a budget room, but compaired to our other budget stays this establishment lacks behind.
Disliked: We booked via Bookings.com. Although the hotel is close to the Railway Station and Bus routes, that is also a drawback. The alarms and PA system. Can be heard till late at night and again from about 4 in the morning. The room is small, with no wardrobe, there is a rack with some hooks, one desk with two drawers and now bedside table or drawer or bed lamps. There is a bathroom across the hall, the extractor fan didn't work, there was black mold in the shower and on the roof. There are some hooks at the back of the door and very little places to place a shower gel or shampoo when you shower. The room shows signs of urgent maintenance with cracks in the wall. The hallway also cracks loudly when somebody walks on it.
