Medieval architecture including a Norman motte-and-bailey castle and an 11th century cathedral are featured in Norwich city center. The Norfolk Broads are just 12 miles away and Norwich City's football ground is a 20-minute walk. Nice view over the river.

Liked: The staff were very accommodating and the room was clean, spacious and had a lovely view. The bed was very comfy, and a fan was provided when asked. Food was good value for money and we had no real complaints. Only lost a couple of points due to dated exterior and some carpet replacements and paint needed in the communal areas. Would stay again.

Good stay and value for...

Liked: Good location for us. A nice stay and clean and tidy room. The beer garden definitely needs attention. There is a beautiful view of the river but the outside area is very tired and the hotel looks terrible from the back. The parking is good.

Liked: Totally unrepresentative photo. Room (9) was hardly adequate as a single never mind a couple.TINY bathroom, noisy at night/early morning.
