Swanky design; perfect location. Overall great hotel choice. No regrets.

Liked: The location was perfect! Close to soMany restaurants, theatres and Times Square. The staff was pleasant and Emilio was especially friendly and helpful!

Liked: The location was exceptional as we were planning to see a few Broadway shows. Also lots of reataurants nearby and subway stations.

Good location, nice hotel, but...

Liked: The location of the hotel was fantastic - I thought it was going to be good, but it was amazing. The rooms were also nicely decorated and even better than I expected. The maid service was excellent.
Disliked: The biggest downside was the ambiguity about types of rooms. I reserved 3 through a third-party app and two were Double Rooms. It is natural assume that the term "Double Room" means a room with two beds. However, there apparently is a thing at The Time called a "Double Bed Petite" with a single, full (NOT double sized) bed. So, the hotel probably intentionally took advantage of that strange, ambiguous terminology to try to put two adults into a tiny room with a single full-sized bed. When I asked at the front desk, they acknowledged this possible problem and changed one of the rooms, but did not provide an actual double room (with TWO beds). They instead put us in a room with a larger single bed (I assume queen size since that is the next available option). If I were traveling the same way, I would not book with The Time because it just seems to be impossible to know whether you are going to get what the rest of the world refers to as a double room (that contains TWO beds of some reasonable size for adults).

A favourite that disappointed this...

Liked: Its location and its staff always friendly.
Disliked: This is our go to hotel for NYC. It’s aging though. Several things in our room didn’t work, the phone, wire was hanging from two light fittings, the amenities didn’t get refreshed leaving us twice without soap and without a room phone working we needed to call reservations using cell services and get put through to the front desk and the sofa bed needed to be replaced entirely. The value for money this time just didn’t stack up. We’ve also been able to change our billing method on check out and that wasn’t allowed with the new processes via booking.com
