Disappointing
Liked: My room cost $196. The desk clerk informed me I would have to pay an additional $400 dollars,and get back $250 when I check out the following morning. If that isn't a ripoff I don't know what is.

Convenient and comfortable.
Liked: Pleasant room, comfortable bed, nice lobby, good wifi, short walk to our concert venue (the Paramount) -- the garden bar looked nice (our room overlooked it), but wasn't open the nights we stayed (maybe good for us in terms of noise level). Windows actually opened, so you could get fresh air in the room. Good coffee place within a 5 minute walk (Compilation Roasters), and a nice Italian place too (Botte).
Disliked: The room was fairly expensive -- just to be expected, I guess. Although the neighborhood was convenient for us, it was on a very busy and not particularly charming street -- not a long walk (15 minutes or so) to charming neighborhoods of brownstones and Fort Greene Park, but not in such a neighborhood. They had coffeemate instead of real milk or half and half for the in-room coffee -- and not enough of them for our two night stay (four coffeemates, and there were two of us, and we use two per cup of coffee).

Great location and stay
Liked: Fab location, close to several subways and DUMBO. Needs a shop, cafe or vending machine. Bar never seemed to be open! Fab stay, would come again

Clean, but multiple, long-lasting false...
Liked: It was clean enough
Disliked: Fire alarms went off shortly after I arrived but didn’t last long. I woke this morning to more fire alarms, but this time they continued for over 30 minutes, prompting me to leave early. It was pretty tacky that nobody from the hotel even addressed this with guests. After taking the emergency stairs down, I could not even find any staff in the lobby or corridors. They should be issuing refunds to today’s guests, but I am sure they won’t.
