The Thirsty Scholar is a former coaching inn located in the heart of historic Penryn. Traditional ales and ciders are served in the on-site bar and guests can relax in the sheltered beer garden or in front of an open fire. Free WiFi is featured in each room along with an private bathroom TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Home-cooked food is served in the restaurant with fresh produce sourced locally. Great atmosphere, cosy with accommodation...

Liked: Perfect location.The facilities were perfect with bedroom of a very high standard.The atmosphere created by the owners and staff was exceptional.Food was of a very high standard with breakfast and evening meal hugely satisfying and tasty.We can’t recommend this establishment highly enoughWe will be returning.

Liked: Breakfast was excellent the staff were very helpful and accommodating. ,Parking was difficult as there were major roadworks taking place outside.
Disliked: For the price of the accommodation ,the stay was great value for money

A unique bed and breakfast...

Liked: The staff and the cosy atmosphere. Just felt like part of the community and family feel

Perfect for our needs visiting...

Liked: Very comfortable room and excellent bed.Great bed sidelights which werent too bright. Delightful owner who made really good breakfasts. Facinating history to the inn.
Disliked: Cant think of anything
