Disappointing, won’t be staying there...

Liked: Friendly staff. Good menu and triple cooked chips fantastic. Well done chef!
Disliked: There was an issue with the heating which had been ongoing for at least a couple of nights prior to our arrival. The whole place was seriously cold and it was really unpleasant. The management should had warned people with upcoming bookings of the problem and either offered a big discount or a full refund to find somewhere else to stay. Very unprofessional. Felt sorry for the staff on duty. Noisy room especially from the staff accommodation above.

Exceptional

Liked: Second time we have stayed in the tavern and it was amazing. First time as a couple and this time we went as a group of 5. We were recognised by staff after 6 months apart. We couldn't have been made any more welcome. Even the local customers and dogs were welcoming. Stayed for dinner and drinks too, which was also 5 star. A great night, and will be booking again.
