Not to be repeated

Liked: Friendly staff, nice location, nice bar, reasonable restaurant. Good breakfast.
Disliked: Rooms were damp in fact apart from the downstairs lobby bar and restaurant the hotel smells damp.First room we were given had a large damp patch on the wall the replacement room we were given was much better. The views from the rooms were of decaying property and scruffy car park

Liked: everything was fine with our stay at the hotel, staff were fine room was clean and tidy. breakfast and staff were great.
Disliked: for the cost of our 1 night stay with a suprb breakfast who could complain.

Pleasant

Liked: Good location, right on the edge of Loch Lomond. Some parking available, we went on off season so multiple available spaces, I imagine can get full in busier times however. Nice dining staff, decent selection for breakfast and great views plus there is a pool table on the property as well
Disliked: Staff on check in desk not very welcoming, didn’t feel very hospitable whilst checking in and didn’t bother asking us how the stay was on check out. The large room takes a while to heat up and the hot water in the shower took more than 10 mins of running to turn hot enough to shower in the cold weather.

Enjoyed our short stay, look...

Liked: Staff were outstanding! Location, ideal , would have been even better during the summer when the cruises were functioning, we missed by one day. Room was comfortable and had a good view of the Loch. Breakfast was good. Loved the idea that the staff were paid the living wage. The owners seem to have an excellent ethical outlook.
Disliked: Shower was intermittantly hot and cold, although staff offered an alternative room for a shower if required. The lift was a little temperamental, failed to work on one occassion. The evening meal was adequate but very pub meal type. I would recommend this hoitel however.

Liked: The hotel restraunt was amazing, the food really is to die for 10/10Does not do it justice.

Rustic stop off on our...

Liked: Beautiful exterior and lobby, the best feel of hotel throughtout our trip. Warm and rustic. Loved seeing redwood trees and monkey puzzle nearby our favourite trees. Good TV and nice welcome snacks , nice view outside and a short walk to loch. Enjoyed our meals in the restaurant and Gin fizz cocktail was lovely.
Disliked: The door lock was a bit stubborn. Shower switch needs to be explained as shower was too cold at first so couldnt wash hair before dinner. Realised what the switch does later on. The blue heater switch is too bright at night.The bed did feel a bit 'short' but was comfortable.

Disliked: The hotel had seen better days
