Amazing even with a couple...

Liked: It was exceptional in character, food, value, politeness, location, access, welcoming
Disliked: Misunderstanding and confusion with staff in relation to two things 1) on arrival only given 4 of my 5 rooms as was told a friend had checked into my booking for one of the rooms that then ultimately didn’t appear to be the case, not quite sure how a booking in my name was given to someone else and 2) Pet access, on seeing other dogs within the bar and others taking them into their rooms I asked if mine could come in as well I did mention my room, was told yes but after check out was contacted and told there has been a charge placed for deep clean as the dog wasn’t allowed in yet as well as asking I did even walk straight past the duty manager and into the hotel with the dog and upstairs I wasn’t challenged or stopped. But I must reiterate still even with this it was exceptional thoroughly enjoyed and I would return my point is just clarify on both sides hotel and guests that the staff should check they have the authority to checking in to a paid booking and that the guest should check the staff member can give permission for your request.

Liked: A great hotel that was dog friendly for our two rather large dogs. The breakfast was excellent together with the overall attentiveness og the staff. Room and bed were comfortable.

Liked: This very old coaching inn and the buildings around it have been beautifully restored. It's an absolute pleasure to stay here.
Disliked: Nothing

Lovely old coaching inn

Liked: It was a delightful stay. The hotel had charm and comfort in an excellent location. The staff were friendly and welcoming.The rooms were comfortable and quiet.Gluten free food was no problem as they were very accommodating.
Disliked: No regular plug sockets by the bed.
