In the Peak District The Sycamore Inn is a beautifully refurbished country inn. Located in the quaint village of Birch Vale The Sycamore has 5 rooms with attached bathroom and free parking. The Sycamore's restaurant serves traditional home-cooked food while the bar provides large comfortable sofas and an open fire. All the rooms in this traditional inn also have baths. 7 miles from the spa town of Buxton and 15 miles from Manchester Birch Vale is excellently located for hikers and mini breaks to the countryside. The Sycamore is set beside the popular Sett Valley Trail which leads to the foot of the spectacular Kinder Scout the Peak District's highest point and part of the Pennine Way National Trail.

Liked: Food fabulous. The special touches at the Inn make it such a great stay. Coffee in the room is so good, all extras are of high quality. Breakfast is great value, exceptional quality, and will keep you going until dinner. Fresh perculated coffee, tea pots, quality butter, and fresh bottled milk. So much choice! Dinner was fabulous.Clean comfy room, great bed. Super scenery. We used the Sycamore Inn as a restful stop before going to Manchester and hit the spot. Thank you to the Inn keeper and all his fabulous staff.
