A pleasant stay spoilt.

Liked: Good price, friendly staff. Room was warm, quite and comfortable.
Disliked: We were told we could upgrade for breakfast for eight or possibly eight pounds fifty per head either at check-in or the following morning for the same price at the breakfast room in the building two doors away, we considered this a reasonable price and elected to pay in the morning in case we decided to skip breakfast. At breakfast the following morning we were asked for our room number which we provided and explained we had yet to pay for it, we were then told the price was £9:50. We didn't argue as we thought this was still not an unreasonable price. My traveling companion then asked if it was possible to have orange juice and was happy to pay for it, however the young man serving refused stating that the juice was only for residents we explained that we were residents but he still refused stating that we were not residents at that establishment, despite the fact that we were told at check-in that both establishments were owned by the same people. This all left a bad feeling and we decided to cancel breakfast and went a mile or two to Madley where we had an excellent breakfast for approx the same price.A real shame as we felt this soured what had otherwise been a very pleasant stay!

Pleasant

Liked: Location is great , the bar and live entertainment was amazing, room was reasonably clean
Disliked: Dirty Marks on the walls , window was broken , bathroom was very outdated with no shower, the locks and door handles were falling off, and the security to the rooms was shocking , entrance to the flats was open all night for anyone to walk in from the streets

Good value accommodation right in...

Liked: Great location and friendly staff
Disliked: I’m not sure there were any staff there overnight. Bar was locked so not sure what would have happened if there was an emergency. Car park was full so had to use paid car parks nearby

Character filled and charming

Liked: Brilliant historic. Character filled location in beautiful Ironbridge. Room 5 which I stayed in had a glass floor showing the old malting working. Most fascinating.
Disliked: Nothing. Accept and embrace it as an 18th century malting.
