Liked: A great welcome from the owners. The room was very well presented and the bed very comfortable.
Disliked: A little disappointed that there was no breakfast available. Although there was many cafes nearby who served breakfast.

Disliked: The bathroom was small, shower small, and the kettle too big for the sink so had to fill up using a glass.

Liked: Well equipped room, very comfortable bed, great location and friendly staff. Bar downstairs is really nice. Well stocked tea/coffee area
Disliked: The bathroom (mostly the skirting boards) were very dusty, it made it feel a bit grubby when the sink/shower etc were fairly clean so let it down a bit. Shame they don’t do breakfast but we did discover Mrs Salisburys tearoom as a result which was lovely and would recommend

All in all, it was...

Liked: When I got to the hotel I was met by a very friendly member of staff who booked me in early (as previously requested) which gave me plenty of time to shower and change for the event I was attending. The room was ideal for a single traveller and although there was a party in one of the downstairs function rooms when I got back from my event I did not hear any of it. The bed was also very comfortable and I was able to get to sleep quite quickly.
Disliked: As for the parking, I was able to park when I first got to the hotel and whilst I was getting ready for my event and I recorded my registration on the hotel system for two days but when I got back there later all the spaces were taken and I could either park in the main car park at cost for two hours or in the High Street about a quarter of a mile away for free. I chose the latter and moved it later when the car park became free over night. I then had to move it in the morning of day two into the hotel car park as there were then spaces and the car park was to start charging at 0800 hrs. I was told that the parking is on a "First come, first service" basis.
