Pretty outdated. Breakfast was average; elevator as we were going up decided to skip a beat and freak me out, thought I was going to crash.

Liked: Very spacious jacuzzi room.
Disliked: Outdated, and there was water dripping from the ceiling all night and all they did for us was give us $25 off. Wish we could have moved to another room as I didn't get any sleep with hearing that dripping all night.

We were in town to attend a concert at AMSOIL arena, so the hotel was very conveniently located. We knew when we booked that we would have an interior room with no windows but were still a bit surprised by how dark the room was. The lighting was poor and the walls were very thin. We heard our neighbor's alarm go off repeatedly and then his entire phone conversation. The room was fairly large but there was a very large pillar in the middle of it, near the corner of the bed. The room was clean but the decor was very dated. Breakfast was the standard pastries and DIY waffles - not very impressive considering the room cost and ratings. The happy hour at Timber Lodge was a nice touch, if you drink. Considering the number of hotels in Duluth, I'd recommend staying elsewhere.

Disliked: Dark room; no windows; very dated; very thin walls.

Disliked: Room air conditioner didn’t work, stayed at 77 all night when set to 65.Poor night staff understanding of how to deal with noisy guests.

Disliked: No windows in rooms. Breakfast didn’t open until 7 and the line was 30 people deep when it opened. Pillows were stripped and on a pile on the bed. Pillowcases were never changed and smelled like a man’s sweat.

Liked: Breakfast was a very decent buffet. Full kitchenette in your room is wonderful. Building is very unique, loved learning about the history and seeing old pictures of the building and area. Close to the lake walk and lots of restaurants. Value for a downtown hotel was great, we would definitely stay again.
Disliked: If you have an inside room you will not have an outside window, missed looking outside, since you're downtown and close to the lake not seeing out is a bummer.Sauna was broken.

Liked: Breakfast was great, room was close to the DECC where we attended a concert.
Disliked: Upon arrival our toilets lid was closed and when I opened it it had diahrea sitting in toilet that was not flushed.
