Liked: Nice people, including parking attendants. Clean and pleasant room.
Disliked: Only improvement would be a mini refrigerator in the room.

Josh, Hartsdale, visiting Westville Music Bowl Tue, 22 June 2021

First time in New Haven for a concert at Westville (so much fun) and this hotel was the perfect place to crash after a long night.

Liked: Super clean; super friendly; nice sized room; access to The Board Room to work was amazing!
Disliked: No fridge in the room was a bummer.

Avoid. Staff need serious training...

Liked: Lovely hotel. Nice room. Breakfast staff ruined my trip. Will never return back. My daughter will attending Yale so this WAS going to be our hotel for the next 4 years. Breakfast hostess was so rude. Did not allow us to dictate table when I’m clearly disabled saying all tables booked for privet event. I had to eat from a low table sat on a sofa. She then sat 3 other individuals onto tables and at all times the main room had empty tables. No idea if you don’t like disabled people or the colour of my skin but I will never return to this hotel. Looking forward to finding a new hotel for the next 4 years for us to use. To top it off the chef can’t cook pancakes raw in the middle and eggs sunny side up dry and tasteless. Thank you breakfast team that was shocking.

Could be better

Liked: Nice bedding but a loud aircon and thin walls I could hear the children next door, the dad sing a lullaby and woke when the baby did at night. Not what you expect at this rate. Also no bath, just a shower. Also not friendly to women travelling alone. I booked a table for dinner a week ahead and was put at a high table (which I don’t like) next to where waiters come in and out from the kitchen. A couple who arrived after me were put next to me and soon moved to a pleasant table. Next morning I was told I couldn’t have a window table because they were Fully Booked. ‘At 8am on a Sunday ?’ I queried. There was only one other couple in the restaurant. ‘Oh yes, we have two prime ministers staying at the hotel she said. ‘Well, they are not here now,’ I said. I got a window table. When I left at 9am after the worst omelette of my life. I gave up after two mouthfuls the restaurant was still almost empty but for the man, also on his own, graciously shown to the table next to mine. No drama

Stylish, friendly hotel that skimps...

Liked: The location and general vibe of the hotel is great, and the staff could not have been more welcoming and nice.
Disliked: The beds are small! They are not queen size (full, maybe?), and inexplicably, there's no coffee maker in the room! I don't remember there being an iron either. Good luck finding lotion in the bathroom! It's a nice room in general - lovely light - but for a hotel this expensive, the amenities are weirdly skimpy.
