Disliked: Pillows were awful, lots of fluffy pillows, no options for a firmer one. Very expensive for a fairly basic room. No bar fridge in the room.

Liked: Room and bathroom were clean and shower was nice.Undereasy returns was very good and staff were lovely.
Disliked: Reception staff were very rude and not helpful. Both pools were not open, restaurant/bar on ground floor wasn’t open until the night before we left.The waterproof bar/pool wasn’t open at all

Liked: Beautiful hotel overall and nice room & location
Disliked: The guest service was very disappointing. I was very surprised that it was so low quality based on how beautiful the hotel was and prime downtown location. It was my birthday weekend in which I traveled alone for a solo trip, no type of acknowledgment of my special occasion( which I also put in notes when I booked). I called down to front desk several times for different reasons and no sense of urgency. The glass shelf in my room fell and I called to have someone come take a look and fix it and no one came. I had food ordered to be delivered to the room and the attendant didn’t try to help the delivery person instead sent him away. Several different nuisances occurred and it was not what I was expecting.

Fabulous location in the heart...

Liked: We normally stay at the Statler in Dallas as the location and amenities are top notch. We enjoy that it is a historic location in Dallas, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The amenities within the hotel are great, with restaurants, bars and a roof top pool to enjoy during your stay.
Disliked: On this stay, we were initially given a smaller room that people had obviously been cigarettes in, which was not acceptable nor what we would expect from the Statler. The staff did change rooms, but even the room was smaller than expected.
