The hotel was wonderful. Great rooms and spacious.

Not the best Marriott experience!!

Liked: It was very quiet and the grounds were lovely.
Disliked: The bathroom was filthy with balls of hair on the dirty floor and strands in the sink—clearly not touched and the rooms are old—need updating. While some of the front desk people were lovely, the manager, Samatha needs some better customer service training. Her own staff was far more professional. I was also mislead. This booking was supposed to be cancelled, ONLY, because I was told by the hotel that it would be. However, apparently, I wasn’t given the correct information and Samantha refuses to uphold the approval her staff provided. Shame on her for putting that on a longstanding and loyal Marriott member. Never again!

Disliked: The dining area needs to be warmed up in the evening .The food and service was very good but the ambiance needs to be improved. Simple things like lowering the lights, candles on the tables or even a sprig of leaves or flowers would help a great deal

Nice hotel but was not...

Liked: Nice property. Well kept and decorated for the holidays!
Disliked: The bed was very uncomfortable for me and my wife. The pillows were too soft and the headboard had a built in light that would not turn off. We finally got to sleep around 4 am due to just plain exhaustion. I got up a few hours later and made reservations at another property even though I had booked 2 nights here. The front desk was understanding to my complaints but could not credit back my second night. I am sure that others experiences are different.

Wonderful staycation with husband without...

Liked: Centrally located in Raleigh, but nestled on the edge of Dix park. We enjoyed close drives to different areas of Raleigh and downtown, but had very little city noise to deal with at night.
Disliked: Stay was perfect.
