Hotel Description
The Star and Garter is set in the heart of the market town of Andover. The hotel dates back to the 1700s and offers a hot and cold buffet breakfast and free WiFi. The hotel maintains its Georgian façade and rooms are set in the former stables and coach house encircling the courtyard as well as over two floors in the main building. Each room has private bathroom facilities with a power shower bath and complimentary toiletries. There is a flat-screen TV hairdryer and tea and coffee facilities in all rooms. There are alcoholic beverages and soft drinks available which can be enjoyed in our enclosed courtyard. This Hampshire town lies around 20 miles north of the beautiful New Forest National Park. Newbury Basingstoke and the pretty cathedral city of Salisbury and Winchester can all be reached within 30 minutes' drive. Stonehenge is within a 20-minute drive. Free parking is provided at the rear of the hotel.

The worst, on a positive...

Liked: The car park
Disliked: Very tired, no hot or cold running water, couldn’t flush the toilet, not just our room throughout the hotel. Room was noisy till 1:00am the noisy again 5:00am due to Red Lion pub and market stalls setting up.

Everything to need.

Liked: The room was clean and had everything you could need. The general area is tied and needs some attention.
Disliked: The access via a dark alley way. It's not easy to find unless to go into the Pizza place at the front of the property.
