A great return to a...

Liked: We were upgraded on arrival, our car was valet-parked and we went straight to our lovely room-a deluxe king. Marble bathroom with underfloor heating and heated towel rail. Rooms are serviced twice per day. The American bar is very atmospheric and has an outdoor seating area too. The breakfasts are a la carte and fabulous. We have been here many times and will return.

Liked: Room was clean and comfortable. Location is incredibly central for visiting tourist locations. Love the American Bar; great cocktails and atmosphere.
Disliked: Breakfast was good but some items do seem over expensive.

Old and very basic place...

Liked: Location
Disliked: Everything is very old, the shower falls apart, the place is totally overpriced, nowhere in the hotel can you get a draft beer, the American bar is tiny, the staff is mainly foreign and rude. The room was different than advertised and the breakfast buffet has discontinued. Also the screen mirroring does nit work, the WiFi is very slow and get lost half the time, the canals shown in the TV guide don’t work. There are no Apps in the TV either. This was the worst experience of a 5 star 2500 GBP 3 days stay I ever experienced in my life.

Liked: Beds were very comfortable, perfect location, ideal for families.
Disliked: The food, expensive and old fashioned. Breakfast was overpriced and not very good, dinner very expensive. Menu needs updating.
