Perfect hotel for a short...
Liked: In room dining was great, very nice service of the entire staff, great to receive newspapers in the morning

Typical hotel, nothing special. London...
Liked: Bellmen were available and helpful.
Disliked: Beware! The hotel added a 15% service charge to an already hefty bill. We had already tipped the bell men and the restaurant staff. When asked what it was for "a gratuity to the staff". I said that's very unusual for a hotel bill. They replied "Oh, do you not want to pay it." My answer "I do not want to pay it". They removed it. Supposedly the Europeans don't tip. In fact, they are worse than the USA in adding tips to bills. Beware!

Disliked: Everything was wonderful until yesterday, which was completely ruined by the staff of this five-star hotel. The restaurant maître d’ rudely refused to seat me and my eight-year-old daughter when we came down for breakfast. I received neither a smile nor any friendliness, only a rude response — no tables were available, and it was unclear when they would be. We waited for 20 minutes, after which the young lady at the entrance of the restaurant refused us again. Only after half an hour were we finally able to have our breakfast. But the feeling of standing in the middle of a restaurant in a hotel that I had considered my reliable home in London for several years, receiving a cold rejection from a staff member, with all eyes in the restaurant on me, left me so confused that I didn’t even turn to the manager for help. This experience completely overshadowed my previous positive stays. Unfortunately, I still haven’t received a response from the hotel, even though I wrote a letter to the manager more than ten hours ago. I am compelled to write this review, though it makes me very sad. Unfortunately I will not stay here again.
