Disliked: Didn't appreciate the senior staff level tone. No one to combine to and no response to my email complaint. It was dirty... didn't receive breakfast on the first day and the second day it was poor. Complained of the window being broken which we didn't sleep well..

Liked: The price was amazing! £25 for a Monday night in St. Ives.Its location is excellent, and a few minutes downhill, walk to the town and train station.The staff, especially the reception, were friendly and helpful. I really liked the way the reception, bar, and restaurant areas were decorated for the upcoming festive period. I was able to park at the front and they also have a garage to the rear.
Disliked: Yes, there are some general issues with decor, carpets, and furnishings, and a refurbishment would be beneficial. I'm sure the management is aware of the shortcomings, but these come at a cost.I had a small single room. There was an odd smell around the bathroom area, possibly the drains? Also, the windows are old wooden sash types, which meant they rattled in the wind and weren't made to keep the warmth in!

Great location, great value

Liked: So close to the train and beach and great value for money, very quiet, Christmas decorations were up and staff were super helpful. First room wasn’t great but reception very kindly moved me without a fuss and it was great, very comfortable, heard the sound of the sea and was delighted with it.
Disliked: The first room, bed was sunken, the paint on the wall beside the bed was coming off, fronted the busy back road. But they sorted it.
