A lovely place but absence...

Liked: The place is very nice, vintage.
Disliked: Management not present. Impossible to meet someone to deal with our shower issue.

Possibly the worst place I’ve...

Liked: Nice retro vibe. The area just outside the rooms is grassy with chairs, fire pit, grill, and games rather than a typical motel with cars right outside your door. Inexpensive relative to other nearby places.
Disliked: I told them we’d arrive at 8pm. Nobody was in the office. After 2 phone calls, they called back to say that the office staff had left for the night and that our room key was left under the door mat. But nobody had told us which room. Another group arrived at the same time and had the same problem. The sheets smelled like an old wet sponge. When I went to the office to ask them to be changed, nobody was there. In fact, nobody was in the office at any time that I went there. The back door to the room wouldn’t close and lock. I messaged the management about it but never heard back. The room looked like it had be updated, but the bathroom looked like it had last been updated in the 1970’s.

Liked: What we really enjoyed was the uniqueness of the Motel. All of the vintage touches in our room were really nice.

Super cute boutique motel in...

Liked: I love the way it looks! The retro is fantastic. The outside looks great. We did not use the pool but it was clean and a beautiful spot. In the bathroom, there were plenty of soft and fluffy towels. The bed was comfy enough except for the pillows. I liked how high the beds were and we could see underneath. Very clean. Love the tiles.
Disliked: The mirror in the bathroom-I could only see from my nose up and there wasn't another mirror in the room.The breakfast-yogurt was out of date, the bagel was stale, and the coffee wasn't great.I wasn't sure where to park so I just made up a spot. I am sure that will come with time.Need more outlets in the room. No dedicated closet space or drawers- just one bookcase

A lovely place to stay...

Liked: Manager, Evva, was wonderful. Keep her!!! Our room, the Honeymoon Suite, was two original rooms combined. It had a comfortable seating area and a king sized bed that was very comfortable. It also had a 1920's Edison victrola with records! So fun to use. Evva stocked the fire-pit for us and we made a bonfire in the evening, which was terrific.
Disliked: There is no breakfast or any meals or snacks offered, which would be a nice option since the motel is remote, however there is a bar. The coffee maker in the room was impossible to use and did not work properly...the coffee came out very watery. The bathrooms are original. While it goes with the kitschy vibe of the entire place, they are just old and really need to be redone. The lighting in both bathrooms constantly flickered and was migraine-inducing. The detergent used to wash the sheets smells too strong, it was distracting. I think it is an Arm and Hammer brand that smells unhealthy. I would opt for unscented. The outdoor porch area offered a small place for sitting, which was lovely, but doesn't seem like it is built to code because there are no guards or railings? Also, the outdoor heating unit isn't enclosed and probably should be..just as an FYI. Lastly, the grounds need maintenance. The driveway is very washed out and there is no direct path to get to the rooms other than dragging/rolling luggage over the dirt driveway and overgrown grass. That part was a little strange. It is the end of the season right now, so maybe that is why? But, people should have a clean way to get to their rooms after they park their cars.

Will definitely stay here again if were in the area.
