Mixed experience: Great breakfast, but...

Liked: The best part of the stay was the breakfast, which was beautifully cooked, presented with care, and made with top-quality ingredients. The staff were friendly, and our room (apart from the creaky bed) was cosy and thoughtfully designed.
Disliked: Unfortunately, our stay was marred by several issues. A power cut disrupted our evening, leaving us in the dark with nothing to do but retire early. When the power returned hours later, the pub's stereo and a beeping alarm (that both continued until the morning shift started) added to the disturbance, making for a restless night, compounded by a creaky bed in Room 1. The atmosphere in the pub was also rushed and uninviting due to staff preoccupied with refurbishment preparations, which we weren’t informed about beforehand. Adding to the disappointment, a promised partial refund for these disruptions was not honoured, and my follow-up emails went unanswered, leaving us frustrated and disheartened. Completely appreciate the power cut is out of the Inn's control - it's the ignored promise and lack of customer service that's disappointing.

Liked: The breakfast had a good selection of fresh fruit pastries,yogurt and fresh fruit juice you also had the pick off the menu

Liked: Great location. Very cosy and welcoming, good beer. Breakfast was good. Staff seemed to enjoy working there , which is a good sign of a well run establishment. The room was immaculately clean. Bed was so comfy , had a great nights sleep.
Disliked: My evening meal was under par , I didn't complain, the waitress noticed considerable left overs , asking why, reduced the bill as compensation. My friends meal was fine .
